Peter Dwyer is the founder and managing partner of The Fitzgerald Dwyer Law Firm, P.C. and brings more than four decades of legal and business experience to the firm. Licensed to practice law in North Carolina, South Carolina, and New York, Peter has represented individuals, families, businesses, property owners, and financial institutions throughout his career.
Peter earned his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School and his MBA from Baruch College through a joint law and business program. His background in law, business, finance, and real estate gives him a practical perspective when advising clients on both the legal and financial considerations of complex matters.
Before founding The Fitzgerald Dwyer Law Firm, Peter founded Colombini & Dwyer in New York, where his practice included civil litigation, commercial and residential real estate, commercial lending, business transactions, and construction and management contracts. He later represented financial institutions in North Carolina in commercial loan closings, workouts, and foreclosures.
Peter's real estate experience extends beyond his legal practice. As founder and president of Universal Realty Services, Inc., he has decades of experience as a real estate broker, providing valuable insight when advising clients on commercial and residential real estate matters.
At The Fitzgerald Dwyer Law Firm, Peter maintains a broad practice that includes wills, trusts and estate planning; probate and estate administration; guardianship and competency proceedings; business formation and transactions; commercial and residential real estate; and other general civil matters.
With more than 40 years in practice, Peter brings clients a depth of experience that reaches well beyond the courtroom. Whether helping a family plan for the future, guiding an executor through an estate, advising a business owner, negotiating a real estate transaction, or representing a client in a legal dispute, Peter focuses on practical solutions, straightforward advice, and experienced representation.
Hannah M. Andrew,

Hannah M. Andrew is a dedicated attorney whose career has been defined by discipline, service, and a commitment to helping others. After serving in the United States Marine Corps, she transitioned to civilian life in 2018 and joined The Fitzgerald Dwyer Law Firm as a paralegal. Hannah earned her Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Wingate University in 2021 before pursuing her Juris Doctor at the Charleston School of Law. Following her graduation and admission to the North Carolina State Bar, she returned to The Fitzgerald Dwyer Law Firm in 2026. Today, as a partner, she brings the same integrity, leadership, and unwavering dedication she developed in the Marines to every client she serves. Outside the office, Hannah enjoys spending time with her two sons, relaxing in her hammock, tackling the daily Wordle, and skydiving with friends. Whether she's in the courtroom or pursuing her next adventure, she approaches every challenge with determination, resilience, and a sense of humor.
